Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seem to have it all, don’t they?
She is pretty, talented and looks awesome in a sequined one piece with matching boots. I can’t pull that off, can you?
He is handsome, athletic, and big enough to power his way through a defensive line and score a touchdown, almost at will. Impossible for me to do with my five-foot eight frame unless he’s carrying me with his other arm.
But, instead of gaping and wasting our time reading and idolizing these two of societies special people, shouldn’t we keeping our eye on the ball and remain concentrated on solving the world’s problems? Ukraine, Israel, inflation, the upcoming election, global warming etc….
Indeed, why should these two good looking, super rich, individuals be showered with even more attention simply for going on a few dates together?
An article jumping on with everyone else criticizing these two would have been easy to write. But as I started what was sure to be another of my literary masterpieces, it occurred to me that I might be part of the problem. I look at how much they seem to be genuinely fond of each other and wonder just who are they hurting? The answer of course, is no one.
Now don’t get me wrong. Me being an old school rock and roll aficionado, I won’t be one of those that will ever search her music out on the radio. But as far as I know she has never advocated the harming of law enforcement in one of her songs. That makes her OK in my book.
So, if the Taylor and Travis show takes our mind off our problems, even for a little while, than what the Hell?
Life is fleeting. Let’s squeeze as much of it as possible from what little time we have with each other. These celebrity romances rarely if ever turn into something permanent. Who cares how much money they have. If Taylor and Travis can glean some warmth from the world around them, for even a little while, let’s be happy for them.
