Have you ever seen fatter asylum seekers? I know it’s not PC to use the term “fat” but were these people fed Krispy Kreme and Hagen Dazs on the trek from Venezuela?
Anyway, if it wasn’t so sad, it would be comical. This week, as I was watching Homeland Security Secretary Alejadro Mayorkas once again claiming that we do not have open borders, it was hard not to feel both rage and helplessness at the same time. Indeed, how can one repeatedly lie to the American people when the pictures and interviews with border agents tell the truth. We do have eyes, you know. But, of course, he’s just doing his job serving as the front man for your President Biden’s open border policy. Indeed, he probably gets weekly bonuses based on how many outrageous untruths he can spew out without the drive by media challenging him.
I guess that is what bothers me the most. Everything about Biden’s border and immigration policy is a lie. From the under reported numbers of undocumented crossings to the over reported numbers listing those wanting entry as seeking “asylum”. Asylum from what? Extra helpings of beans and potatos?
Another thing that bothers me is how we are treating these law breakers. Shouldn’t we be taking care of our own? What about our homeless veterans? Get this. I saw a news report that some hotels in New York are expelling homeless veterans so they can house these illegals because they receive an extra $100 per night. Enough to make your head explode, isn’t it?
In the meantime I don’t believe there is the will in Congress to do anything about the immigrants who have entered our country illegally. In fact, I have somewhat come to terms with the whole situation by looking at it as a God thing. It is my hope that those crossing over have a genuine desire to work and become an integral part of America’s fabric and future. I also hope that they bring with them a belief in Christianity. Without America, the future of the world is uncertain and under Biden our benevolent leadership is under assault. Perhaps God is placing these immigrants in our country to help in our defense when and if we are attacked from those who oppose our way of life and wish to do us harm.
In closing I don’t hold any grudges for those wishing to better their lives by coming to the greatest country that God has created. I just wish they would do so legally.
In any event, I feel the right thing to do would be to give them a gift card to Jenny Craig. It’s the least we can do.
