I’m starting to like this guy.
For those of you who have been reading my missives for a while, you might remember one of my incredibly insightful posts submitted way back after the 2022 election. https://conservativeclearinghouse.net/boo/
It was centered on John Fetterman and my consternation on why he was chosen to fill the prestigious position of senator. Now, I’m not retracting anything, and with his behavioral habits at that time, there was a mountain of evidence to back up my conclusion that the Senator from Pennsylvania is a slob and buffoon. But with time comes change and this guy has certainly made a turnaround, maybe not in the way he dresses but in what he thinks and how he says it.
First, there’s this:
“The Palestinians have refused, or they’ve been unwilling to deliver a government that provided security and economic development for themselves,” they allowed 10/7 to occur, and now Gaza has to be rebuilt.”
From an X post on the LA riots:
“I unapologetically stand for free speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration—but this is not that. This is anarchy and true chaos. My party loses the moral high ground when we refuse to condemn setting cars on fire, destroying buildings, and assaulting law enforcement.”
About the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities:
“As I’ve long maintained, this was the correct move by @POTUS,” Fetterman said. “Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and cannot have nuclear capabilities. I’m grateful for and salute the finest military in the world.”
Finally, and this is my favorite, about having to stay in Washington to vote on the BBB:
“Oh my God, I just want to go home, I’ve already missed our entire trip to the beach… I’m going to vote no. There’s no drama.”
I can relate, can’t you? I love the beach.
If I didn’t know better, I would say that the Democrats have a Tillis on their hands.
I have always taken pride in admitting when I’ve made a mistake. He is acting like someone with common sense, which is severely lacking within the party of Cortez-Sanders-Mamdani. I may have misjudged him just a little, but there again, he still hasn’t figured out how to dress himself and continues to proclaim allegiance to the Democrat Party so one can say he’s still not all there.
But I am starting to like this guy.
A lot.
