Defending America – “The Idea”

Did you know that America was founded based on an idea? That idea is encapsulated in the second sentence of the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they have been endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. _ That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Who is responsible to ensure that this happens? WE THE PEOPLE! The Preamble of the Constitution states, We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
WE THE PEOPLE must dedicate ourselves to the proposition that we all are created equal and take the responsibility of self-governing according to the Founding American Ideas, (liberty, equality, and justice).
WE THE PEOPLE must defend freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right of the people to peaceably assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, as well as the right of the people to keep and bear Arms.
WE THE PEOPLE must at all times, and at all costs, defend our Charters of Freedom which are The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and our Bill of Rights.
This is our country to save or to lose.
While Clarence’s life is chronicled with episodes of civil unrest in which he found himself thrust in the midst, he did his part to bring awareness and change in a peaceful manner.
Clarence Henderson now champions a new cause for a better America by challenging, motivating and inspiring others to be aware and responsible for the world that surrounds them. He and his lovely wife Robin reside in High Point, NC.
